'The Tourist' movie location: La Giudecca

ABOVE: A still photo of a scene from The Tourist being shot near Giudecca's Zittelle vaporetto stop.
We were walking Maggie, our celebrity-sniffing service dog, on Venice's Zattere a few hours ago when she suddenly pulled toward the water's edge.
Looking across the Giudecca Canal, we saw that a night shot for a forthcoming Hollywood thriller, The Tourist, had been set up on the island of Giudecca, near the Zittelle vaporetto stop and the Venice Youth Hostel.
Fortunately, Cheryl had her trusty Panasonic Lumix ZS3 pocket paparazzi camera with her, so she took a photo (above) and a video (below) of the action.
Although the video doesn't have any shots of Johnny Depp or Angelina Jolie (who are co-starring in the film), it does show an ACTV Lido-Tronchetto car ferry passing in front of the movie set, which is interesting to watch if--like us--you're as interested in transportation as you are in movie stars.
I cannot wait to see 'The Tourist'. I just came across 5 clips from the movie, thought i'd share. http://bit.ly/e50ALo
