Cheryl was researching an "accessible Venice" itinerary on Tuesday, April 20 when she noticed that a door on one of the balconies of the Palazzo Mocenigo was open across the Grand Canal. (The Palazzo Mocenigo is the temporary home of Angelina Jolie, who's in Venice with her family while filming The Tourist with Johnny Depp.)
Suddenly two women appeared at the open door, and Cheryl's blogger instincts took over. She snapped four photos with our trusty Panasonic Lumix ZS3 paparazzi camera, and two of them had recognizable faces--or at least their faces would be recognizable to mothers, boyfriends, and high-school classmates.
Who are these women? Friends or relatives of the Jolie-Pitt clan, nannies, or possibly a pair of actresses? Your guess is as good as ours (or possibly better), so we'll publish the photos and let you, our readers, decide whether Cheryl snapped Angelina's long-lost sisters Lorna and Lulu or if there's a more prosaic reason for the women's presence in the palazzo.
Our first photo shows the Palazzo Mocenigo with a door open above the water entrance.
The second photo shows a woman with a blond bun. (Maybe Gwyneth Paltrow was visiting?)
Was this woman scratching her nose, tittering shyly at one of Brad Pitt's jokes, or calling "Breaker, breaker" with a handheld CB radio?
